As the consequences of climate change continue to be felt around the globe, affecting everyone, particularly vulnerable communities and ecosystems, the choices made today will determine whether we learn from the cautionary tale of Icarus—responding with wisdom and foresight—or risk repeating his fate.

We’re calling on the COP30 President André Corrêa do Lago, UN Secretary General António Guterres, world leaders and nation delegates to ensure this year’s negotiations lead to:

  • Cutting planet-warming pollution/emissions: Implement an enforceable plan that cuts global emissions and scales solutions to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. 
  • A global call to dismantle oil subsidies: Stop financing and incentivizing global-warming pollution from fossil fuel development
  • Ending special interest lobbying: Ensure voices of those impacted most by our decisions are at the negotiating table, not billion-dollar corporations. 

The science is clear and half-measures won’t cut it. More delays equals stealing their future.
